Letter From A Man
"To any man who has ever quietly asked the universe for direction, let this letter find you"
Dear Francis,
We've carried a quiet kind of weight for as long as I can remember. The kind we do not discuss.
In stillness and in moments no one saw, we've reflected on seasons gone dark. Purpose and values questioned as chapters close.
Pain has many shapes, but speaks a common language amongst us. We have loved and we have lost. We have tried to outgrow the shadows elders left in their physical and emotional distance. We have poured into work with the best intentions of building something great. We have known purpose, and carried for a time. Some that shape and some that prepare.
We've learnt to keep ourselves guarded from well meaning voices, who speak solutions as certainties without the depth of experiential answers to our questions.
We were built to learn, to observe and experience life in the details others tend to ignore.
We have long understood not every circle is ours, finding our place amongst communities of the unconsidered. We are meant for rooms depth is welcomed and not inconvenience.
There are many like us, high potential men who feel deeply, working relentlessly to provide in quiet endurance. Who deserve to outgrow their space, but without direction.
Our path must turn from a familiar, well worn pursuit of personal gain. Raise men higher. Return to the values of a time slowly eroded.
We know we do not hold all the answers, but we know how to ask the right questions.
To all you may start to inspire, you know them well. You experience as they experience. Rise King, help men rediscover.
This is for Men. For Fathers. For Husbands. Anyone who longs for more or are misguided in ill desired actions outside of discipline and heart. If they have ever asked the universe for more in reflection, let them find you.
